Some thoughts about life...

Hi everyone

I would like to share some thoughts with you about life. I know, sounds a bit heavy but bear with me.

First of all let me put things in to context. I recently attended a funeral and the vicar in his address highlighted three very important points about life. These points really resonated with me and I hope he doesn't mind me passing them on to you.

Life is short, no matter how long we live it is but a speck in time. It is what we do with that life that matters.

We take each other for granted. When was the last time you told someone you loved them?

We don't know what tomorrow will bring but there is a time for everything, a time to dance and a time to die, a time to sow and a time to reap..............

Some really big things to think about I felt. I will leave you with these thoughts.

Hope you all have a great week.

What Doctor's Don't Tell You website

Hi everyone

Some information from the What Doctor's Don't Tell You website or WDDTY suggests that the drug company producing Tamiflu has hidden research into the ineffectiveness of the drug and also the dangers of the drug. To find out more follow this link: http://www.wddty.com/tamiflu-drug-co-hides-research-into-its-ineffectiveness-and-dangers.html

The WDDTY website is a great source of useful information and it does exactly as it's name suggests providing independent information on the dangers of medicines and alternatives that work.
If you don't know the site have a look and see what you think!

Hope in 2012!

Hi everyone

I love snowdrops and this week these beautiful flowers are coming in to bloom. Snowdrops are like the rainbow I always think, reminders that there is always hope. Hope that winter won't last forever and that the rain will eventually stop!
Hope that things will get better.

I hope that we can all go forward in to 2012 and find whatever it is that will make things better for us!

'There are more things in heaven and earth Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy'

Hi everyone

'There are more things in heaven and earth Horatio, than are dreamt of in your philosophy'

A quote from Shakespeare's Hamlet and the theme for this weeks blog!

One of the problems some people have with homeopathy is that they don't know how it works and therefore can't accept that it does! Well I would say that I don't know how the tv works but I have evidence that it does. I certainly can't work out how I can type this and it will appear on my blog and on your computer screens via the internet. However, I know that it will.

It wasn't until the 1980's that science began to understand how morphine worked in the body but it had been used for years as a pain killing drug. It's effects were well known. Today modern drugs act on the body but we don't necessarily fully understand how but we can observe their effects.

I know homeopathy works because I can see the effects it has on my patients and I know the help it has given me and my family.
There is also scientific evidence that backs up my observations. So indeed there are more things in heaven and earth!

Happy New year!

Hi everyone

Well, the christmas decorations have been taken down and put back in their box. It's been a week since new year resolutions were made with the hope that this time we would stick to them, at least until we had finished all that christmas cake and hidden the rest of the chocolate! But what is it all about?
(A big question for the beginning of January I know but 'bear with' as they say! )

Many of us plan to eat more carefully, drink less alcohol, exercise more and become fitter in 2012. It is to improve our physical well being that we wish for change as a new year begins. We are right to look after our bodies but I also think we need to take a deeper look at what we believe health actually is and begin to think about how we can feel better in ourselves as well as in our bodies. Feeling better physically will help, no doubt about that, but it is only part of the picture.

I believe homeopathy has it's part to play in helping us become as healthy as we can. Not only can homeopathy help with physical discomforts such as colds, coughs, flu  and those undefined winter bugs, it can also help us feel better in ourselves. I know homepathy can help with the symptoms of stress, low self confidence, anxiety, low self esteem and those 'winter blues' that so many people suffer from. It is about both physical and emotional well being, looking at the whole person and not just one aspect, we are after all, very complex beings.

Why not take a closer look at your health and well being and try homeopathy to help you support the changes you would like to come about this year. It is time for change and I think you will be pleasantly surprised at what we can achieve together.

Keep an eye on my website for winter health alert advice and special offers to help you achieve better health in 2012. Wishing you a happy and peaceful 2012.

Sometimes the truth is stranger than fiction!

Hi everyone

When I was reading the local paper the other day I came across the lovely story of a lady who had donated a mirror to a charity shop up country. Later on, once she had moved house and county, she realised that she missed having that particular mirror and so began looking for a replacement. The strange thing is that after a prolonged search she found just the thing...............her original mirror in a charity shop near her new home. She knew it was her mirror because it was engraved with initials personal to her. How surprising is that! You wouldn't have expected such a thing could happen.
People's experience of ill health can also sometimes be surprising but more often than not homeopaths can match these descriptions of ill health to particular remedy pictures. For example Cimicifuga is a homeopathic medicine and when healthy people have taken it (in order to test it out) they describe feeling trapped, as if entwined in barbed wire! Perhaps it sounds a little strange but it is in fact a sensation that I have heard expressed in a consultation.  A very real sensation for the person experiencing it. Giving homeopathic Cimicifuga helped the person move through what was a dark period in their life and the sensation disappeared. Indeed truth can be stranger than fiction, we couldn't make it up!

Have a great week!

How do you feel?

Hi everyone

I woke up grumpy and tired this morning, which isn't really like me! So I took myself away to my usual weekly keep fit session, which I have in fact missed for the last two weeks, in the hope that I would feel better and I do!!
The exercise and the friendliness of the group both helped me to come back home in a happier, healthier frame of mind.

I am glad that I took the oppurtunity to get out and about this morning as it would have been quite easy to have had a duvet morning! The lesson for me is that bodies not only need rest but also timely exercise and mine needed to get back in to the swing after missing two weeks. Maintaining good health is about listening to what our
bodies need and responding accordingly, sometimes rest is the best medicine, sometimes the best tonic is a good workout, the tricky bit is not getting the messages confused!

Have a great week!
